Special to the Leader & Times
Liberal took all varsity and junior varsity players to Garden City Saturday.
“This gave all of our guys some varsity level competition,” Liberal coach David Short said. “I mixed up our singles to try different things. It didn’t quite give us the outcome we were wanted. All boys competed hard.”
Singles and doubles had 24 entries and all No. 1s and No. 2s were combined. One of the Liberal teams took fifth and the other took ninth.
