Tracey (Mocey) Jean Nix, 69 of Flint, Texas, passed away peacefully at home with family on August 27, 2024.

Tracey was born in Fort Sill, Okla. on February 8, 1955. She lived there briefly then moved to St. John, where she attended school until 5th grade. In the fall of 1965 at the age of 10 she moved to Hugoton, where she graduated high school with honors in 1972.
During her freshman year of high school, she met the love her of life Rick. They married on December 31st, 1971, and were happily married for the next 53 years. During her early married life, she was a farm wife and became a mom having 2 children. She moved to Pampa Texas and was in the banking business for 17 years before moving back to Kansas and farming. She and Rick decided to move to Flint Texas when they retired in 2014.
No matter where Tracey, lived Christ was at the center. She was active in church serving as youth group leaders with Rick for many, many years. She taught Sunday school, was on numerous women’s committees and was always ready to serve. She loved her kids endlessly and unconditionally. She spent many hours in the bleachers cheering them on, sewed them clothes, helped with homework and showed them through her actions how to live in faith.
She loved to cook and there wasn’t any recipe she wouldn’t try (and most she would edit to add her flavor to). She loved playing sports including softball, golf, soccer and bowled in a league or two even in her adult years. She loved watching the KC Chiefs together with her family whether at the stadium or home. She was up for anything and everything.
She became Mocey to her grandchildren whom she adored and spoiled with her love. She was the best Mocey in the world. Tracey had a spirit and personality that was magnetic.
She was so creative and had an artistic ability that she shared with everyone. There wasn’t a blank canvas she couldn’t make beautiful, not a pen and paper that she couldn’t turn into a story, not a song that she couldn’t sing and not a friendship that she couldn’t grow. She loved Rick, her children and grandchildren and her extended family and friends deeply and it showed in every moment she spent with them.
Tracey is preceded in death by her mother Joyce Rowley and husband Ralph and her stepfather Wade Folger
Tracey is survived by husband Rick, daughter Gia Lowrance and her husband Ryan, son Josh Nix and wife Jana, her two sisters Teri Popejoy and husband Dan, Sandy Dlugas & husband Steve, her 12 grandchildren Matthew, Gladys, Bryce, Lexi, Ryan, Darcey, Cassie, Shelby, Nathan, Mady, Ryder & Trooper, and 4 great great-grandchildren, Jaisen, Chelsey, Mia and Noah, her step brothers & sisters, and her 4 dear sister -in laws & their spouses, 18 nieces and nephews & 40 great nieces and nephews.
