Ronald “Ronnie” Gokey, 63, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 at his home in Liberal.
He was born Sept. 4, 1962 in Oklahoma.
He had a love for fishing and camping, finding peace and joy near the water, and he was known for his natural ability to fix just about anything that was broken. Whether it was a small repair or a more complicated problem, he approached it with patience, determination, and care.
He formed strong, meaningful bonds and will be remembered for his dependable nature and the genuine care he showed to those around him.
He faced multiple personal struggles throughout his life and bravely battled them for many years. Despite these challenges, he remained a caring and thoughtful person whose heart and intentions were always evident.
Survivors include a brother; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
• There will be no visitation or funeral, as cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
