Larry Lee Martin, 84, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 in Wichita.
He was born Sept. 23, 1941 to Joseph and Philomena (Reichenberger) Martin.
He married Myra Kay Murray June 16, 1964. She survives.
A lifelong Catholic, he lived his faith quietly but strongly.
As a young man, he began trucking alongside his father and later farmed in Kansas and South Dakota with his brothers, Quintin and Bill. The farm and trucking operations were true family businesses, with entire families pitching in and working side by side. When the farm was later traded for a trailer park, he went on to build a successful custom harvesting business, where, again, the whole family worked together.
Survivors also include sons, Joseph Martin and Jeffrey Martin (Virginia); daughters, Marsha Merrill (Todd), and Getana L. Ortiz (Balente "Bean"); sister, Lucille “Goldie” Andra (Ken); six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Quintin Martin, Kenneth Martin, Almeda Marx, Mary Kay Becker, and Naoma Winter.
• Funeral Mass took place Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 with Father Terrance Klein presiding.
