The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that killed a Liberal man and woman Monday morning in Texas County, Okla.
OHP reported the fatality occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 64 about seven miles east of Hooker, Okla., and involved a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica and 2015 Chevy Silverado.
Housing has been a hot topic in Liberal for the past several years and recently, some work has been going on to help with just that.
As Liberal Mayor Jose Lara tells it, developers are currently being kept busy with a few projects.

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, traffic changes along U.S. Highway 54 in Meade County will start July 15, three miles west of the west city limits of Meade.
The traffic change is needed to allow bridge repair work to take place. Motorists should expect minimal delays, and a 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Temporary traffic signals will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone, and signs and cones will mark the lane reduction.
