HUGOTON – Wanda Kramer 91, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 in Amarillo, Texas. 

She was born Sept. 5, 1934 to Owen and Lena Anderson.

She was educated in the Hugoton Public Schools.

She married Richard Lee “Dick” Kramer March 30, 1952. He preceded her in death April 18, 2022.

She began work on her education degree at the University of Kansas and completed her bachelor’s degree in education at the University of Colorado.

In 1960, they moved to Denver, where Wanda began her career in education as an elementary school teacher in the Cherry Creek School District. Her career as an educator spanned more than 50 years and spanned multiple countries.

Wanda and Dick had a strong and loving relationship throughout their many years of marriage. They journeyed and evolved together and were partners in every sense of the word.

Survivors include son, Cliff Kramer and wife, Patricia; brother, Vernon Anderson; daughter-in-law, Kate Milligan Kramer; four grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Kirk; sisters, Christine Massey and Freida Freisberg; and brother Edward Anderson.

• Graveside services took place Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026 at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton, with Pastor Pam Peachey presiding.
