Tiburseo Hernandez, 78, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026.

He was born Aug. 11, 1948 to Visente and Merjilda (Ranjel) Hernandez.

He married Alicia Cimental March 12, 1967. She survives.

He worked in farming.

He also enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, and working on cars.

He loved music and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors also include five daughters: Nora Moore and husband, Cory Gillespie, Vicky Rodriguez and husband, Martin, Julia Wishon, Lisa Daniels and husband, Jade, and Cynthia Salinas and husband, Joshua; sisters, Geneva Lopez and Lupe Lopez; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven siblings.

• Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026 at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel at 1212 W. 2nd Street in Liberal.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026 at Centro Cristano Church at 701 S. Pershing Ave. in Liberal, with Pastor John Valdivia presiding.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
