ULYSSES – Jill Menzie Clinesmith died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026 in Ulysses.
She was born Dec. 15, 1947 in Wichita, and adopted by Geraldine (Jerry) and Virgil Menzie.
She was a lifetime resident of Kansas-Cimarron and Ulysses. She received her teaching degree at Fort Hays University and taught art in the area for 35 years. Her job was more like a hobby, and she enjoyed her friends, riding her horse and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Pete; three sons and one daughter: Caleb Clinesmith and wife, Devra; children, Menzie, Wyatt, Macie and husband, Nate and baby Reese, Chad Joyce and wife, Heather; children, Colton, Clay, Benen, Neely and husband, Will, Andee Joyce and wife, Rachael; and daughter, Ashlan and husband, Josh and son, Liam; Amber Marty and husband, David; and children, Gabrielle and Gage. She is also survived by her brother Jeff and wife, Pam; and children, Nancy and Michael.
• Memorial services took place Monday, Sept. 14, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses, with Minister Warren Baldwin presiding.
