Marjorie Louise (Austin) Faucett, 97, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.

She was born Nov. 22, 1928to Ostby and Ethel (Cain) Austin.

She married Richard Oren Faucett Aug. 3, 1946. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2019.

She graduated from high school in Alamosa, Colo. in 1946. She later graduated from California State University Hayward in the 1970s with an accounting degree. She then set up her own accounting practice.

She was always very active in her church, whether in Fremont, Calif., Hayden, Colo., or Liberal.

Survivors include sons, Casey Faucett, and Daniel Faucett and wife, Kathy; seven grandchildren: Anya, Lucas, Caleb, Ryan, Andrea, Austin, and Kimmie; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was  also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jory Sydlaske; brother, Royal and wife, Tish Austin; and grandson, Jerod Faucett.

• Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026 at the First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ at 920 N. Jordan Ave. in Liberal, with Jack Cooley presiding.

Burial will follow at the Tyrone Cemetery in Tyrone, Okla.
