Jeanette Sue Harp, 79, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026 at her home in Liberal.

She was born Dec. 31, 1946 to Theodore and Ilene Schroeder.

She married Brad Harp Sept. 2, 2019 after being together for more than 30 years.

She was a retired United States Post Office employee. Having retired in 2019 after years of service, she was finally able to stop running from mailbox to mailbox.

Sue was a force to be reckoned with, and God truly gave her an extra dose of sass.

Survivors include three sons: Sam Darroch and wife, Sandra, Garden City, Damon Darroch and wife, Melissa, Iron City, Tenn., and Danny Darroch, Boston; brother, Jeff Schroeder; four sisters: Nita Maley, Donna Schroeder, Barbara Carey, and Terry Hattan; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mike Schroeder; and sister, Marlene Warta.

• Celebration of Life services will take place at a later date.
