Anthony Bryan Phillips died Sunday, March 15, 2026 in Liberal. 

He was born Nov. 3, 1963 to Janice Phillips in Dallas, at the same hospital 19 days before President John F Kennedy died at Parkland.

He was raised and graduated from high school in Tennessee.

He was a member of the ROTC and had the opportunity to travel to Germany. 

He lived 25 years in Alaska before returning to Kansas. 

He is survived by his son, Robert Phillps (Shawna); daughter, Tosha Jones (Ben); six beautiful granddaughters; McKensie, Hayden, Brooklyn, Veronica, Madilynn and Kelsey; sister, Joy Beasley; niece, Tina Chester; nephews: Zach Phiilips, Tyler Phillips, Abe Velasquez Jr and Mel Velasquez; 16 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 13 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Phillips; and brothers, Larry Phillips and Curtis Phillips.

• Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Joy Beasley’s home at 14494 Road T in Kismet.
