Cindy Sue Flora (Foster), 78, passed peacefully at her home in Quinter on May 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family as she went to be with the Lord. Faith became sight as she entered eternal rest in God’s presence. Cindy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, faithful servant of God, and treasured friend.

Born Aug. 18, 1947 in Wichita, Cindy was the daughter of Cecil Raymond Foster and Patty Lou (Black) Balloun and was lovingly adopted by Lloyd Balloun, who helped shape the foundation of her life. From an early age, she learned the values of faith, hard work, and family while helping her mother in her restaurants and caring for her younger siblings.

Cindy enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, baking, studying her Bible, and sharing her love for Jesus with others. Her faith guided her life through compassion, humility, kindness, and encouragement. She was known for her strong will, playful humor, and the deep love she gave to family and friends.

On Sept. 15, 1985, Cindy married her beloved husband, Aaron Flora. Together they built a life centered on faith, devotion, and love. She was a dedicated mother to her son, Kelly Weikle, and daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Andrews. Cindy made holidays special through homemade ornaments, decorated cookies, and cherished family traditions. Her home was always filled with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.

She shared a close bond with her granddaughter, Amber Singleton, and took great pride in watching her become a loving mother to Collins Michelle Singleton. Cindy also treasured her 55-year friendship and sisterhood with her sister-in-law, Patty Balloun, and shared a meaningful bond with her niece, Allie, whose care and support brought comfort during difficult times.

Survivors include her husband, Aaron Flora; children: Kelly Weikle, Michelle Andrews and Karlea; grandchildren, Seth Smith, and Amber Singleton and husband, Chase; great-grandchildren, James Smith and Collins Michelle Singleton; brother, Mike Balloun and wife, Patty; sister, Pamela Perez; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
