ULYSSES – William “Willy" Meza, 52, died June 14, 2026 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. 

He was born Sept. 14, 1973 to Manuel and Irma (Guerra) Meza.

He attended school in Ulysses and later moved to Topeka, where he worked in masonry for many years.

He worked in construction for many years, most recently with 5-G Irrigation. He was known for his hardworking nature and ability to fix just about anything.

He had a strong faith that remained an important part of his life for many years.

Survivors include his mother; his children: Tesla Madsen, Kaden Moody, Colton Moody, Carter Moody, Skyler Cramer, and Christian Aldrich; sisters: Cynthia Meza, Norma Meza, Rebecca Bryner and Betty Delgado (Martin); brother, Manuel (Tara) Scott; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Martha Ann Meza; and aunt, Soila Guaderrama.

• Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2026 at the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Ulysses, with Pastor Jose Linares presiding.

Burial to follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses.
