Natividad “Nati” Ovalle Camacho, 19, died on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, in Dodge City.

He was born June 28, 2007 in Bakersfield, Calif. to Gabriel Ovalle Tellez and Laura Camacho Barrios. 

Nati was a 2026 graduate of Liberal High School, where he was known for his dedication and involvement in athletics. He enjoyed participating in football, basketball, and soccer for Liberal High School and also shared his love of the game as a member of Atletico Liberal Youth Futbol Club.

Nati will be remembered as a loving, joyful presence who had a gift for bringing smiles to those around him, especially if you were having a bad day. Known as the “life of the party,” he cared deeply for his friends and loved ones, always wanting to share his blessings with others. His generous spirit was captured in one of his favorite sayings: “If I’m making money, my homies will too,” a reflection of the loyal and giving person he was. Nati always said “Remember I always got you.”  His passion was his red truck. Nati belonged to the Ondiados SW Kansas Truck Club.

Nati worked for Laura’s Rental and Laura’s Kitchen, where he helped care for the business while his mother was away. He also worked for Blattner Energy, where he was greatly loved and appreciated.

He was a devoted brother and uncle who loved his family deeply. Nati was always willing to step in for his sisters and his mother, offering his support, protection, and care whenever they needed him. He will be remembered as loving, hardworking, and always eager to learn.

He is survived by his mother, Laura Camacho Barrios of Liberal; brother, Cristhian Camacho of Taft, Calif; and four sisters: Lisbet B. De La Cruz of Liberal, Mercedes Rosales of Taft, Calif., Silvia G. Ovalle Camacho of Liberal, and Yadira Ovalle Camacho of Taft, Calif.;

He was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Ovalle Tellez; sister, Adriana Rosales; and aunt, Juana Camacho.

• Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026 at Hornung Family Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Street in Liberal.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 1510 N. Calhoun Ave. in Liberal.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding.

Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
