The Lady Redskins had a chance at a Western Athletic Conference win Saturday against Dodge City, but after splitting the first two sets, the Lady Redskins came up just short in a 25-23 loss in set three during a quadrangular in The Big House.

The Lady Redskins opened against Scott City but dropped the match in two straight sets and later faced Colby and also dropped that match in two sets despite a competitive second set that ended in a 25-23 loss.

According to head coach Erika Soriano, the Lady Redskins are struggling to communicate with a mixture of young players joining three seniors.

“We need to play more together and we need to talk, talk more,” Soriano said. “We need to play stronger and everyone talk, find the ball. At practice, we will work on hitting, blocking and making good passes.”
