Early mistakes came back to haunt the Liberal Redskins in a 12-2 loss at Woodward Thursday.

Kye Morris pitched the first inning and allowed seven runs, but only one of those were earned. Morris walked three and struck out one.

The Boomers added five more runs against Ethan Olmstead who pitched two innings and allowed five earned runs while walking one and striking out three.

Austin Dodge took the mound and pitched a scoreless fourth inning and did not allow a hit or a  while striking out one.

The Redskins crossed the plate with two runs in the fifth when Olmstead and Eathan Hernandez scored, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the 12-2 run-rule loss.

Liberal committed three errors in the loss while the Boomers committed two.
