Paula Elaine Boren, 72, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025
She was born May 30, 1953 to Willis and Gracy (Smith) Tipsword in Borger, Texas.
She had a master’s degree in education and throughout her time as a teacher, she touched the lives of many children and worked to pass on her love of reading.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed crosswords and reading.
Survivors include her son, Dale Boren; brother, John Tipsword; niece, Taryn Mott; and nephew, John Tipsword II.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
• Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Apache, Okla., with Jon Syverson presiding.
Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
