Paul David Lighty, 95, died Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.

He was born Feb. 10, 1929.

He farmed west of Hugoton for many years.

CIMARRON – Sandra L. Jordan, 59, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at The Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron.

She was born May 19, 1964 to Gerald Eugene and Lois Mae (Pribbeno) Kerr. 

She was a 1982 graduate of Cimarron High School and in 2014, she received her Master of Science degree from Fort Hays State University. 

She worked as a substitute teacher in many area schools including in Larned, Pratt, Wallace County, Sublette and Liberal.

Glennetta Beatrice (Randle) Cooper, 88, died Saturday, April 13, 2024.

She was born Sept. 11, 1935 to Glen and Thelma (Dixon) Randle.

She married John (Jack) Cooper July 29, 1952. He survives.

Marilyn Marie Fairbairn, 93, died Saturday, April 20, 2024.

She was born Dec. 3, 1930 to James and Ruby Blankenship.

She married Leighton Fairbairn June 14, 1953. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Great Bend High School. Upon finishing high school, she attended her freshman year at Phillips University in Enid, Okla. The following year, she transferred to Kansas State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in the College of Human Ecology in 1952. Upon graduation she taught at Miltonvale High School in Miltonvale.
