Biden and Trump agree, America’s justice system is not fair

I don’t fault President Joe Biden for pardoning his son Hunter. That’s why parents aren’t allowed to negotiate with terrorists. Parents would give away the nuclear codes to help a child who is facing an execution. Others may die because parents give millions of dollars to save a child held by a terrorist, but a parent can’t see the consequences of their actions. They are singly focused on saving their own child.

Biden did the same thing for his child in a way. Facing certain jail time, Hunter Biden was not a hostage, but he was found guilty of several federal crimes.

We had a terrible experience in another town (an absentee American owner with a filthy rental) and we came running back to San Miguel, desperate to find a place to stay — any place that was clean and halfway affordable. Over the past few weeks, we've looked at the promised Anointed One, Jesus the Messiah, who's called Christ. From the time of humans' fall into sin in the Garden of Eden, God promised Eve that her seed [a descendant] would bruise the head of Satan (Genesis 3:15). While some enjoy athletics, others enjoy shows about dance competitions or reality shows where someone wins a million bucks for outwitting and outlasting the rest.

While I also enjoy many of those as well, elections are a particular interest of mine. What campaign led to a win? What fell short?

From local elections to the presidency, I watch the outcomes, because the only way to really know what worked is by seeing who won and who lost.

The recent conviction of 45 Hong Kong demonstrators is seen differently in the U.S and Asia. 208 demonstrations, ranging from peaceful to violent, were carried out in Hong Kong between March 2019 and September 2020.

The earlier “umbrella revolution” in 2014 mainly focused on requirement that candidates to lead Hong Kong had to first be interviewed by Beijing to ensure they were not proponents of violating the “One Country, Two Systems” arrangement. On August 31, 2014, the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress had required this screening of candidates for Hong Kong’s chief executive position.
