The Lady Red team traveled through the weather to make it to Great Bend for the second of their three meets last week.
“We used this meet to really focus on our relays as WAC is around the corner,” Liberal coach Ismael Carrillo said.
The team finished 8th with 59 points.

In their third meet of the week, the Lady Red team weathered the storms and traveled to Maize Aquatics and Performing Art Center for the Maize Invitational Saturday.
“The team set new personal best times and continued to get polished up with WAC being in less than two weeks,” Carrillo said.
In this big meet of 20 teams, the team finished 16th with 20 points.
“ A big thank you to Maize for hosting a fast and seamless meet in which the team was able to head back home by 1:30 p.m. and avoid the pending storms,” Carrillo said.
