At some point in our lives, we all ask ourselves how we think we would fare if we were to get stranded on a desert island, though the odds of that happening are rather remote. Recently, however, long-time film director Sam Raimi tackled just that with his newest film, “Send Help,” which was released last Friday.

The film follows long-time undervalued employee Linda Liddle (Rachel McAdams) and her new boss, Bradley (Dylan O’Brien), who become stranded on a deserted island after surviving a terrible plane crash and attempt to survive while tension rises between them as time goes on.

The next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is officially under way, and one of the TV projects I’ve seen talked about on social media quite a bit lately has been “Wonder Man,” which has now officially dropped on Disney+.

The eight-episode miniseries follows struggling actors Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) as they try to earn roles in an upcoming remake of the superhero film “Wonder Man” while also hiding some secrets from each other and the world.

As some of you might be aware, I listen to a wide variety of music genres while I work here at the newspaper, and that now includes British pop. While that might seem a bit odd, I recently came across Robbie Williams’ newest album “Britpop."

For those unaware, Williams is an English singer and songwriter and was a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995 before launching his solo career in 1996. He’s not as well known here in the U.S., although those who are fans of  Pixar’s “Cars 2” heard his “Collision of Worlds” duet with country musician Brad Paisley.
