Three seats are up for election on the Seward County Commission in November, and six candidates will have an opportunity to answer questions at the Liberal Chamber of Commerce Candidates Forum at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the historic Rock Island Depot.
Candidates are:
Dist. 2 — Kay Burtzloff and Clay Louderback
Dist. 3 — Lizette Avalos-Morales and Jairo Vazquez
Dist. 4 — Fred Bloom and Jose Lara
Several issues have been discussed recently, ranging from whether or not Seward County needs a Chief Financial Operator or similar position and whether or not the public should vote on allowing corporate wind farming in Seward County.
