ELKHART – Vivian Ala Britt, 71, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2026. 

She was born June 20, 1955 to Paul and Helen Hammontree.

She married Stephen Britt Sept. 25, 1970. He preceded her in death.

Vivian devoted much of her life to caring for her family. She worked hard and made sure those around her were taken care of.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, raising chickens, quilting, working on puzzles, and many other hobbies.

One of Vivian's greatest joys was being a grandmother. She and Steve shared an incredible love for their grandchildren, who brought so much happiness into their lives.

Survivors include three children: Autumn Morton, John Britt, and Sheana Olson and husband, Mike Olson; grandchildren: Gage Olson, Julia Olson, Paige Jones, Beau Kerbow, Brecklyn Britt, Brandon Britt, Noah Olson, Billy Britt, Kaden Morton, Ayla Britt, Sailor Morton, and Aubrey Britt; great-grandchildren: Zayden Jones, Nova Jones, Cash Kerbow, and Emmett Kerbow, and another great-grandson on the way.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; and one sister.

• Funeral services took place Monday, Nov. 2, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Elkhart, with Pastor Ed Richards presiding.

Burial took place at Willowbar Cemetery in Keyes, Okla.
