Roberta J. Babb, 84, died Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

She was born July 27, 1941 to Robert and Mary (Joy) Young. 

She graduated from Fowler High School. 

She married John E. Babb. After several years of marriage, the couple later divorced. 

She worked as s legal secretary for Coleman Industries for more than 50 years.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, game shows, listening to Elvis songs, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include son, John Babb and wife, Robin; daughter, Amy Babb Grace; son-in-law, Dave McPhail; brothers, Wes Young and Robert Young; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karyn Babb McPhail; and brother, Johnny Young.

• Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Fowler Cemetery in Fowler. 

Burial will follow the services.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
