Jerry Don Steadman, 73, died Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center.  

He was born Nov. 23, 1952 to Richard and Betty (Chance) Steadman.

He married Eve Lorraine Mata in La Junta, Colo. She preceded him in death April 16, 2022.

He worked many years as an electrician.

Earlier in his career, he had worked for the La Junta Cemetery in La Junta, Colo. and at National Beef Packing in Liberal.

Survivors include sons, Shawn Stahle and Jerod Steadman; daughter, Trisha Potter; brother, Gary Steadman; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Terry Steadman and Larry Steadman; and sister, Denise Hood.

• There will be no viewing or services.

A private urn burial will take place at the Liberal City Cemetery.
