Joann “Jody” B. Hibbert, 91, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at The Shepherd Center in Cimarron.

She was born Sept. 27, 1934 to Gaylord and Dorothy Walker.

She completed 13 years of schooling and worked as a sales representative in mobile home sales. 

She married Neil J. Hibbert Dec. 15, 1951. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 2015.

She was a Eastern Star Chapter #104 member and earned recognition with the Liberal Redskins Booster Club as a Member of the Year.

She excelled at bowling and won numerous ceramics awards.

She and Neil were dedicated KC Chiefs fans.

Survivors include sons, John Hibbert and Joe Hibbert and wife, Shelly; daughter, Gay Andrade; nine grandchildren: Alex, Zach, Nick, Katy Burgess and Chris Hibbert, Candice Behrns, Neil Andrade, Marcus Andrade and Lucy Murzyn; and 23 Great-Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Nicholas Hibbert.

• Friends may call from 12 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2026 at Hornung Family Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Street in Liberal.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
