Josephine Helen Mancha, 92, died Monday, March 23, 2026 in Garden City.
She was born Aug. 27, 1933 to Rosendro and Frances (Medina) Garcia.
She married David Mancha April 10, 1954. He preceded her in death Aug. 14, 2022.
She worked for the City of Garden City for many years.
She expressed her joy through her favorite pastimes including tending to flowers, decorating her home, sewing, and quilting.
She was a member of St. Dominic’s Church in Garden City.
Survivors include son, Charles (Chuck) Mancha and wife, Ginger; daughter, Barbara Salinas-Collins; brother, John Garcia and wife, Phillis; sister, Ramona Garcia; grandchildren: Stetson Mancha, Tucson Mancha, Brenden Martinez, Valerie Hess, and Steven Salinas; and great-grandchildren: Austin Hess, McKenzie Hess, Miles Mancha, Jada Mancha, Jasper Salinas, and Oliver Salinas, along with many other friends and family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Virginia Garcia, Elizabeth Orozco, and Gilda Mancha; and brothers, Mike Garcia and Pete Garcia.
• Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Valley View Cemetery at 2901 N. 3rd Street in Garden City.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Robson Funeral Home at 620 N. Main Street in Garden City.
