Larry Dean Van Buren, 87, died Monday April 6, 2026.  

He was born Aug. 7, 1938 to Dale and Dorothy Van Buren.

He married Donna Sue Morlen March 10, 1956. She preceded him in death July 3, 2018.

He worked for the Seward County Road & Bridge Dept. for many years before his retirement.

He enjoyed woodworking in his garage, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include daughter, Teresa Patton (Donnie); son, Robert Van Buren; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Marie Van Buren; grandson, Aaron Patton; brother, Steve Van Buren; and sister, Linda Scheffler.

• There will be no public viewing.

Per Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place.
