David “Dave” Harvey Easterday, 85, died May 20, 2026.  

He was born Dec. 5, 1940 to Milton and Jean Easterday.  

He graduated from Meade High School and Southwestern College in Winfield. He later earned his master’s degree from Western Colorado University.  

He spent more than four decades in education including in Tahoka, Texas, Leoti, Meade, and in Tyrone, Okla., and served in multiple roles at those schools.

He married Wilda Loeppke Nov. 22, 1967. She survives.

His retirement was spent in  service to the Meade Senior Center and Meade Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors also include three daughters: Heather, Kyla, and Dara; and sister, Cheryl Sharick.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

• Celebration of Life took place Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Meade Church of the Nazarene, with James Strickland presiding.  

Burial took place at Graceland Cemetery in Meade. 

Memorials are suggested to the Meade High School Alumni Association or New College Franklin.
