Felix Trujillo, 94, died Thursday, July 2, 2026. 

He was born May 18, 1932 to Catarino and Santos (Martinez) Trujillo.

He married Eloise Cruz Nov. 3, 1956. She survives.

He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church of Hugoton.

He was a dedicated public servant and spent many years working for the City of Hugoton as the plant operator. After retirement, he took up work at the Hugoton Cemetery.

He enjoyed roping and horseback riding and took pride in being an “outdoor man.”

Family travels were among his cherished experiences, as Felix, Eloise, and their children ventured on camping trips that led them across all 50 states.

Survivors also include daughters: Sandra McClure and husband, Mike, Cynthia Hernandez, and husband, Ernest, Felicia Moreland and husband, Jeff, Barbara Trujillo, and Peggy Frost.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Adam Carabajal; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Marie McClure; and brothers, Macario Trujillo and Estevan Trujillo.

• Funeral services took place Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton.

Burial took place at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.
