ULYSSES – Jorge Luis Moralez, 27, died Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in Oklahoma City. 

He was born Dec. 7, 1998 to Carlos and Blanca (Lopez) Moralez.

He graduated from Ulysses High School with the Class of 2017. He later attended Pratt Community College. He earned his Journeyman certification in 2025. He worked for J&J Powerline Contractors Inc.

He loved hunting, guns and spending time with his friends working on cars.

He was an OU football fan.

Survivors include his parents; siblings, Mario Morales and wife, Megan, Jesus Morales, Rosalba Morales, Blanca Morales, and Rosanna Vernon and husband, Rope; four nephews: Gannon Morales, Kenryck Morales, Kasich Smyth and Lennox Vernon; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erasmo and Manuela Morales.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 at Country View Baptist Church, with Pastor James Berry presiding.

Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses.
