Kye Morris pitched a two-hit shutout against Garden City Tuesday that gave the Redskins a 2-0 victory.

The win moved the Redskins to 6-8 on the season and 1-3 in the WAC.

Blayden Betts drove in Ethan Olmstead in the first inning to give the Redskins a 1-0 lead, and Morris took over from there, making that one run lead stand until the bottom of the fifth when Betts drove Jonathan Santos home with a double to give the Redskins a 2-0 lead.

The two runs proved to be enough with Morris on the mound. He kept the Buffaloes off the bases throughout the game, only allowing two hits and a walk and stranding all three while striking out six.

Bren Kappelmann, Olmstead, Landry Fitzgerald and Eathan Hernandez each had a hit.

The Redskins will have a chance to even up their season record when they travel to Cimarron today for a double header with the Blue Jays.

Liberal returns home Tuesday to host Great Bend.
