Rock group Linkin Park came onto the music scene back in 1996 and is among the best-selling bands of the 21st century, as well as one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Sadly, in 2017, the group’s lead singer Chester Bennington died, and many were left wondering whether or not there would ever be more Linkin Park music.
“E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial,” the Olympic Games, “Home Alone,” the “Harry Potter” series, and the “Star Wars” saga.
At face value, these titles seemingly have absolutely nothing to do with each other. However, if you’re a music nerd like myself, you know all of these titles have musical contributions from the one and only John Williams.
The holiday season is rapidly approaching, and for many families, that includes taking in a special show or two, which the American Theatre Guild will soon be providing.
Cirque Dreams Holidaze will be performing at Century II in Wichita Tuesday, Nov. 26 and Wednesday, Nov. 27, and both performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Cirque Dreams Holidaze Artistic Director Rebecca Shubart said the cast and crew are excited to take the show to Wichita.
Those looking for some chances for a weekend getaway will have just that thanks to the American Theatre Guild.
Tickets for all of the shows in the 2024-25 season are now officially on sale to the general public, with the season beginning with an add-on, Cirque Dreams Holidaze, which will run Nov. 26 and 27, before moving on to "Chicago" (which will run from Dec. 20 through 22), followed "Pretty Woman: The Musical" (which will run Jan. 3 through 5, 2025), followed by "The Book of Mormon" (which will run Feb. 14 through 16, 2025), followed by "Beetlejuice" (which will run April 2 through 6, 2025), and the season will conclude with "The Cher Show," which will run April 25 through 27. Other add-on shows for the season will include "R.E.S.P.E.C.T" about the life of Aretha Franklin, which will run March 18, 2025, and "Champions of Magic," which will run April 17, 2025. All performances will be at Century II Performing Arts Center in Wichita.
Today is officially Halloween, the spookiest day of the calendar year, and throughout the month, I’ve been getting myself in the spooky mood with various movies and specials.
