Liberal is set to celebrate Pancake Day Tuesday, including a special tribute to the late Al Shank Jr., a beloved community figure. In honor of their father, Al Shank Jr’s three adult children: Megan (Lyn) Harp, Marc (Becky) Shank, and Miranda (Andy) Ruland, will serve as this year’s Parade Grand Marshals. They will be the honored guests at the Grand Marshal's Reception at the Baker Arts Center Monday.

GARDEN CITY – U.S. Senator Dr. Roger Marshall is pleased to announce the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Wichita field office is continuing its monthly mobile immigration services in Southwest Kansas through FY 2025.

His advocacy was a direct response to feedback from immigrants and employers, who described the logistical and financial barriers for applicants traveling to Wichita or Kansas City to fulfill various in-person requirements for legal immigration status.
