In April, the Immunize Kansas Coalition hosted Entre Mujeres: The Health of Women, a premier event for women of all ages across Kansas, in Kansas City, Kan.

Now, IKC is bringing the conference to Southwest Kansas Oct. 26 at Garden City’s Horace Good Middle School. Community Health Specialist Patricia Fierro said the event focuses on women’s health and in particular breast screenings, breast cancer and cervical cancer, along with anything that pertains to women’s health.

Customers have shared that this individual is leaving voicemails urging them to call an “844” number to pay for an overdue electric bill. Please be cautious! Seward County Clerk’s office

C.J. Wettstein has filed his intent to run as a write-in candidate for the office of Seward County Commissioner District 1.

The deadline to file the affidavit of write-in candidacy for county offices was Monday at noon.

Liberal’s Grace Place Pregnancy Care Center recently hosted its annual fundraising banquet and a teen rally, and with the help of a good banquet committee, Client Services Director Letty Hernandez said planning for that event flowed more smoothly than in past years.

“We have some small things that need to be tweaked for next year to help things flow more smoothly,” she said.
