Vernie Marie O'Moore, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026 at her home in Liberal.  

She was born Oct. 29, 1953 to Vernon and Bonnie (Hill) Springmeyer.

She married Kevin O'Moore Nov. 25, 1995. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Liberal High School with the Class of 1974.

She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for many weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays for her friends and family.

She was a 35-year member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal.

Survivors also include daughter, Rebecca Springmeyer and husband, Zack Blair, Oklahoma City; sisters, Mary Mauldin, Whitney, Texas, and Joyce O'Moore and husband, Brian, Carthage, Mo.; grandson, Landon Christopher Blair, Oklahoma City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Jesse and Rachel Hill; sister, Judy Eckland; niece, Loretta Jo Phillips; and brother-in-law, James Mauldin.

• Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026 at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal, with Rev. Jason Toombs presiding.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026 at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery near Preston.
