Jorge Antonio Orozco, 55, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

He was born June 15, 1971 to Antonio Orozco and Maria del Rosario Mata.

He married Sonia Zamudio Nov. 18, 2023.

Throughout the years, he worked at National Beef, Arby’s, Burger King, and Taco Bell.

He enjoyed working on cars, especially their audio systems, and took great pride in his low-riders.

He also loved woodworking.

He enjoyed retro games such as “Zelda,” exploring technology, and learning all he could about it. In his younger years, he also loved to draw.

Survivors include his father; son, Luis Gerardo Orozco, Liberal; brothers, Heriberto Orozco and wife, Sylvia, Liberal, and Victor Orozco and wife, Susana, Zacapu, Michoacan, Mexico; three sisters: Laura Orozco and husband, Jose Antonio Castro, Zacapu, Michoacan, Mexico,  Rosa Isela Orozco and husband, Margarito Olivo Diaz, Zacapu, Michoacan, Mexico, and Bricia Yunnuen Orozco, Zacapu, Michoacan, Mexico; nephews: Adam James Guerra and wife, Sandy, Liberal, Erick Alexis Orozco and wife, Breia, Liberal, Adrian Orozco and wife, Izabell, Liberal, Michael Diaz, Corpus Christi, Texas, Edward Diaz, Corpus Christi, Texas, Jacinta Martinez, Corpus Christi, Texas, Leonardo Martinez Jr., Corpus Christi, Texas, Enrique Martinez, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Victor Martinez, Corpus Christi, Texas; and niece, Krystal Martinez, Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and infant daughter, Alexia Marie Orozco.

• Rosary will be at at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 1510 N. Calhoun Ave. in Liberal.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
