Brandon Ray Carver, born Oct. 14, 1977, in Liberal, peacefully transitioned to eternal rest Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in Stillwater, Okla. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many.

Born to John Carver and Linda (Carver) Poe, Brandon spent his early years cultivating passions that would remain close to his heart. Growing up in Liberal, he developed a profound love for soccer, played football at South Middle School, and eagerly embraced the values and adventures of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 48. A treasured memory was a journey to Spanish Peaks, Colo., where he earned his Wilderness Badge, a testament to his spirit of adventure and respect for nature.

Brandon’s dedication extended beyond his youthful pursuits. He found joy in assisting his grandfather, Merlin Jantzen, at Jantzen Lumber Yard, and pursued his love for the outdoors through fishing and exploring. During his teenage years, Brandon relocated with his mother and siblings to Stillwater, Okla., where he attended Stillwater High School. In 1996, he graduated and earned recognition as a varsity scholar, demonstrating his commitment to academic and personal growth.

Brandon obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Carre Development Institutes of Hotel and Restaurant Management, equipping him with skills that reflected his thoughtful and hardworking nature.

As an active member of Victory Life Church in Stillwater, Brandon was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. His generosity, wisdom, and willingness to offer guidance endeared him to many, who sought his counsel in times of need.

For the past eight years, Brandon called Roxie Weber Plaza home. There, he fostered lasting friendships and built strong bonds with staff and fellow residents. Among those who became his extended family were Mary Minor, Brenda Smith, and Evelyn Chandler, longtime coworkers at the Roxie Weber commissary, who held a special place in his heart. The love and acceptance Brandon experienced from the Roxie Weber community, and the dedicated care provided by his personal aide, Trinity, enriched his life immensely.

Brandon is survived by his mother, Linda Poe, and stepfather, Kenneth Poe; his brother, Brian Morlen, and wife, Tiffany; his sisters, Starla Richardson, and Sara Davies and husband, Hadyn. He also leaves behind five nephews: Eric Hurd, Conner Morlen, Hadyn Davies, Conrad Davies, and Corbin Davis; and nieces: Natalie Brewster, Lillyan Morlen, and Marlee Morlen. Their love and presence will continue to honor his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Merlin Jantzen and Barbara Jantzen; and his beloved fiancée, Becky Sharp, whose legacy lives on through Brandon’s life and the memories he shared.

Brandon Ray Carver’s journey was marked by faith, generosity, and a deep sense of community. His spirit will forever remain a guiding light to all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
