Brandon Ray Carver, born Oct. 14, 1977, in Liberal, peacefully transitioned to eternal rest Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in Stillwater, Okla. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many.

Born to John Carver and Linda (Carver) Poe, Brandon spent his early years cultivating passions that would remain close to his heart. Growing up in Liberal, he developed a profound love for soccer, played football at South Middle School, and eagerly embraced the values and adventures of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 48. A treasured memory was a journey to Spanish Peaks, Colo., where he earned his Wilderness Badge, a testament to his spirit of adventure and respect for nature.

He was born May 30, 1979.

He graduated from Garden City High School, where he laid the foundation for a career in the culinary arts. He was a chef at Time Out Sports Bar and Grill.

HUGOTON – Zo Ann Roland, 85, died May 13, 2026 at Kansas Medical Center in Andover. 

She was born Dec. 21, 1940 to Raymond and Avis (Anderson) Curtis.  

She graduated from Moscow High School and later attended Fort Hays State University.

She married Garry Roland in 1959. He survives.
