Linda Kay Tomlison, 80, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at the Country Living of Larned.

She was born Jan. 8, 1946 to Thurman and Madeline (Stayner) Kane.  

She graduated from Palmyra High School in Palmyra, Penn. in 1963. 

She married Bruce Tomlinson Sept. 24, 1966. He preceded her in death in 2013.

After marriage, the couple moved to Meade, and she began working for Gates Drug Store.  She later began working for Meade Manufacturing as a secretary.  In 1969, she began working as a secretary in the superintendent’s office and clerk of the board for Meade USD 226 before joining CMS Electric, serving in the company offices, as well as on the Board of Trustees for many years.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, KEC, KEPCO, serving also as a trustee, and was an active member of the Meade County 4-H program.  

She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, mowing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include daughter, Tina Esfeld and husband, T.R.; brothers, Barry Kane and Roy Kane; grandsons, Takota Esfeld and wife, Bailey, and Ty Esfeld and wife, Kinsley; and great-grandchildren, Ryett and Tilley.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Merle Kane.

• In accordance to her request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at the Appleton Township Cemetery in Minneola at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Beam Senior Center or the Meade County 4-H in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
