She married John (Jack) Cooper July 29, 1952. He survives.

Marilyn Marie Fairbairn, 93, died Saturday, April 20, 2024.
She was born Dec. 3, 1930 to James and Ruby Blankenship.
She married Leighton Fairbairn June 14, 1953. He preceded her in death.
She graduated from Great Bend High School. Upon finishing high school, she attended her freshman year at Phillips University in Enid, Okla. The following year, she transferred to Kansas State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in the College of Human Ecology in 1952. Upon graduation she taught at Miltonvale High School in Miltonvale.
Veronica Claire Butler, 27, died Sunday, April 14, 2024.
She was born Feb. 28, 1997 to Clinton Butler and Amanda (Butler) Verner.
She and Tracy Lee Peitz began their journey together Feb. 13, 2019, and they became quite the duo over the last five years.
Manuel Duran-Hernandez, 62, died Friday, April 19, 2024 at his home in Liberal.
He was born Jan. 11, 1962 to Jesus Duran and Aurora Hernandez.
He was an over the road truck driver for many years. He was a good friend and always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and family.
Marjorie Eileen "Marge" Curry, 92, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center.
She was born April 26, 1931 to John and Ellen (Jennings) Kauffman.
She worked as a clerk for Engel's Conoco from 1975 to 1980, Engel's U-Serv 1981 to 2007, and finally the Hutch's C Store from 2007 to 2016 on the corner of old S. HWY 83 and Pine Street, retiring in 2016.
