Norman Dean Crossman, affectionately known to all simply as "Dean", passed away peacefully doing what he loved most ... fishing for trout at Roaring River, Mo.

Born on March 4, 1940 to Harry Crossman Sr and Viola Mae Downing in Bison, Okla., Dean lived a life marked by resilience, dedication, humor, and an unwavering love for his family and community.

ULYSSES – Shirley Mae Williams, 87, died June 10, 2025 at her home in Ulysses.

She was born May 21, 1938 to Floyd Elias and Cleo Louise (Tope) Pointer, and was raised by her mother, Cleo, and stepfather, Ralph Earnest.

She married James “Jim” Williams July 2, 1955. He preceded her in death.

JOHNSON – Walburga “Walli” Everett, 78, died Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Western Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses. 

She was born Dec. 21, 1946 to Anton and Johanna (Heider) Schwarzbauer. 

After completing high school, she went to work in a sewing factory. 

She married Richard Everett March 24, 1966 in Augsburg, Germany.  He preceded her in death.

Jerry Leroy Wright, 93, died Feb. 22, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas

He was born Nov. 17, 1931 in Moscow.

Initially starting in the U.S. Air Force, he spent the majority of his military career in the Army, achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 in Military Intelligence before retiring.
