William Michael “Mike” Bangs, 74, died Monday, April 8, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Aug. 22, 1949 to William LeRoy and Maxine Evelyn Calhoun Bangs.
He married Janis Marie James March 17, 1979. She survives.
He had worked at National Beef in Liberal for nine years before going to work at the gas companies that served the area for more than 20 years.
Stanley W. Wagner, 78, died Sunday, April 14, 2024.
He was born Feb. 11, 1946 to Harry and Viola (Wheaton) Wagner.
One of his proudest accomplishments included owning and operating the last full-service station in Liberal.
His passion for car races, water skiing, and snow skiing brought him immense joy throughout his life. He was also known for his craftsmanship in creating beautiful wood items for his children and grandchildren.
He served his country during the Vietnam War. His commitment to duty and his fellow servicemen reflected the true essence of his character.
Delbert Kenneth “Del” Lambley Jr., 80, died Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born April 3, 1944 to Delbert and Audrey Lambley.
He married Carol Weiss in 1965. He married Jeanne (Thompson) Pospisal Nov. 5, 1982 at the First Christian Church in Guymon, Okla. She preceded him in death.
He attended school in Hooker, Okla., graduating with the Class of 1963. He then attended Okmulgee Technical School in Okmulgee, Okla., graduating in 1965.
