ULYSSES – Carl Wayne Johnson, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. 

He was born June 29, 1941 to Elmer and Helen (Jones) Johnson. 

He married Deanna Nash June 9, 1963. She survives.

Ignacio Rivas Alvarado, 84, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2024 at the BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

He was born Feb. 8, 1940 to Eduardo Rivas Martinez and Maria De La Luz Alvardo.

He married Jesusita Quiñones Nov. 29, 1969. She survives.

Carol Jean Benedick, 83, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2024 at her home.

She was born Oct. 8, 1940 to Margaret and Frederick Coble in Denver. She had two brothers, Freddie and Lester, and one sister, Sandra.

She married Kenneth Ingels July 3, 1957, and they had three children: Robert E. Ingels, Sherry J. Neifert (Ingels), and Susan C. Leatherman (Ingels). They divorced in May 1985. H

Gary Dean Trogdon (84) died peacefully at his home in Arma, on Aug. 21, 2024 surrounded by the presence of his loving family. He was the devoted husband of 55 years to the love of his life, Myrtle ‘Sug’ Cauldwell. Proud father of his two daughters whom he loved unconditionally, Sherry (Pat) McCool and Shelly (Mike) Bodensteiner, and loving grandfather of Luke and Christian McCool.
