HUTCHINSON – Helen F. Wenta, 98, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2025 at her home in Hutchinson.
She was born April 29, 1927 to Lee and Esther (Williams) Ireland.
She graduated from Florence High School in 1945. She attended Phillips University in Enid, Okla., graduating with a BME degree, majoring in piano in 1949.
She married Paul T. Wenta July 4, 1950. He preceded her in death April 6, 1987.
Rosalie “Rose” Hazel Luck, 92, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society in Liberal.
She was born March 2, 1933 to Howard and Nora (Beougher) Moore.
After graduating high school in 1951, she worked as a secretary for Panhandle Eastern and Elkhart Elementary.
She married Donald Lyle Luck in 1954. He preceded her in death.
JOHNSON – Mona Louise Winger, 98, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood, Colo.
She was born June 5, 1927 to Maude Jewel (Reynolds) and Felix Raymond Edmisson.
She attended school throughout her growing up years in Johnson. After graduating in 1945, earning the position of valedictorian of her class, she went to college at Emporia College to study music. In the early 1990s, she attended Panhandle University, majoring in English. She thoroughly enjoyed attending college as a non-traditional adult student.
Raymond Dwight Headrick, 99, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.
He was born July 19, 1926 to Roy and Edna (Bloom) Headrick.
He was drafted into the US Army prior to graduating from Kismet High School in 1945. Upon his return from overseas and discharge from the Army, he worked at the farm with his father.
Doyle Ray Davis, 68, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026 at his home in Liberal.
He was born Aug. 31, 1957 to Glenda Hunter and Colton Davis at Brownwood Memorial Hospital in Brownwood, Texas.
He married Helen Giles May 4, 2016. She survives.
