ULYSSES – Alice Frey, 92, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
She was born Aug. 10, 1933 to Otto and Lettie (Jeffrey) Frey.
She graduated from Elmdale Rural High School in 1951. She went on to attend Kansas State College to become a home demonstration agent.
She received several career awards along with receiving the Nationally Recognized Service Award from the National Association for Extension Home Economists. She later returned to Kansas State University where she earned her master’s degree. During her career, she played a valuable role in the rural area, teaching many classes to adults and children, taking children to 4-H camps and meetings, helping them learn parliamentary procedure.
Jane Ann LeMonnier, 77, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025 at her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She was born Sept. 25, 1948 to Orval and Loraine (Jessen) Mobley.
She was a 1966 graduate of Carroll High School in Carroll, Iowa, and went on to pursue her passion for education at Northwest Missouri State University, where she earned her master's degree in early education.
