ROLLA – Robert Clinton (Bob) Stewart, 82, died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born Oct. 19, 1942 to Theodore and Viola (Solf) Stewart in Alva, Okla.
He married Rachael Ann Lewis Oct. 26, 1968. She survives.
Margaret R. “Peggy” Merklin, 80, died Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 2, 1944 to Archie and Isabell (Sutliff) Shouse.
She married Marlin Merklin June 4, 1944. He survives.
She graduated from Burlington High School in Colorado and obtained her associate’s degree from Seward County Community College.
Joseph Lee “Jody” Carpenter, 56, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025 in Wichita, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 26, 1968 to Virginia Carpenter (Trevino) in Garden City.
He received his GED from Fort Hays State University in 1987.
JOHNSON – David Randolph Taylor Jr., 70, died Sunday, March 9, 2025.
He was born Feb. 17, 1955 to David Randolph Taylor Sr. (Randy) and Edna Creason Taylor.
He graduated from Johnson High School in 1973.
Joel Leonard Curtis, 75, died Sunday, March 9, 2025.
He was born May 6, 1949 to Joel Clint (J.C.) and Velma (Raines) Curtis.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1967, after which he served in the United States Army. Joel was later honorably discharged in 1970 with a National Defense Service Medal.
