Norman L. Green, 70, died Monday, March 1, 2026 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.
He was born Sept. 12, 1955 to Stanley and Carrie (Walker) Walker.
After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, and served for four years as a cook.
Carolyn Rice, 80, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 at her home in Liberal.
Carolyn was born Dec. 10, 1945, in Elk City, Okla. to John and Thelma (Abbott) Warren. At a young age, Carolyn and her mother moved to Liberal, where Carolyn attended Liberal Schools and graduated from Liberal High School in 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John of Elk City; her mother, Thelma of Liberal; brothers, Johnny Warren of Conway, Ark. and Charlie Joe Baker of Liberal; and sister, Shirli Poulton of Liberal.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jim Rice of Liberal; daughter, Melissa Rice of Loveland, Colo.; and son, Brian Rice of Scottsdale, Ariz.
JOHNSON – Marylin Rose (Richard) Ruth, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026.
She was born July 13, 1941 to Homer and Lucille (Foos) Richard.
She married Darrel Ruth Aug. 27, 1961. He survives.
She taught private piano lessons, volunteered with school and church youth programs, and served as a 4-H leader in sewing and cooking.
MEADE – Elizabeth L. (Betty) Cordes, 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at the Lone Tree Retirement Center in Meade.
She was born June 15, 1934 to John and Orpha (Menely) Wilson.
She attended school in Melvern, graduating in 1952. After her graduation, she began a career in healthcare for 20 years.
She married Ronald Cordes March 14, 1969. He survives.
Don Lee Cobb, of Springfield, Mo. died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, after a courageous 12-month battle with myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare bone marrow cancer.
He was born May 28, 1943 in Liberal, the only child of Orval and Lota Caroline (Helsel) Cobb.
