Alvin Glenn “Al” Webber, 95, died May 29, 2025, in Bentonville, Ark.
He was born April 8, 1930 to Glen and Florence Webber in Hugoton.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and carried his love for aviation into his career. He retired from Boeing as an aviation engineer after a long and distinguished career that took him to many different places.
Everett Earl Meliza was born Dec. 17, 1931, near Rosston, Okla., to Charles Jackson and Alma Bernice (Fleming) Meliza and passed away May 21, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Weatherford, Okla.
Everett was raised on a farm outside Rosston and graduated from Rosston High School in 1950. After graduation, he spent the summer harvesting wheat, then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Everett spent four years at various air force bases serving as a teletype operator in AACS squadrons. After 18 months at Ernest Harmon Air Force Base in Stephenville, Newfoundland, he was transferred to George Air Force Base in Victorville, Calif. There Everett met his future wife, Roberta “Bobbie” Sharp. They were married Feb. 8, 1954, at the home of her parents in Adelanto.
