Marilyn Sue (Evans) Ryan, 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 in Kismet.

She was born Jan. 10, 1945 to Raymon and Margaret (Kilgore) Evans.

She graduated from Kinsley High School in Kinsley with the Class of 1963

She married Dean Ryan Nov. 20, 1966.

Laraine May Duran, 76, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025 at Wheatridge Care Park Care Center in Liberal.  

She was born Dec. 3, 1948 to Lawrence and Mildred (Kaufman) Chapman.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading her Bible, and studying scripture.

She attended the Church of Christ in Liberal.

Euola Flores, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center.

She was born May 20, 1934 to Charley and Wanda (Peck) Reynolds.

She married Jose G. "Jody" Flores March 16, 1963. He preceded her in death April 11, 2017.

Loretta “Retta” Higgins, 45, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 at her home in Lyons.

She was born July 25, 1980 to Paul and Judy Phillips.

She married Chris Higgins Sept. 17, 2004. He survives.

She graduated from Liberal High School and later received her Certified Nurse Aide Certificate (CNA) from Liberal Area Vocational Technical School.
