Jack Killingsworth was born in 1936 in a two-room house, with path, in Liberal, where he attended school until entering the U.S. Air Force.

He instructed electronics and later transferred to the Strategic Air Command.

After honorable discharge, Jack worked at various type jobs in numerous locations prior to retiring from Phillips Petroleum Co. with 20 years of service.

ULYSSES – Armeta Kay Anderson, 71, died Friday, June 20, 2025 at her home in Ulysses.

She was born July 21, 1953 to Monte and Carmeta Smith.

She graduated from Ulysses High School in 1971.

She married George Anderson. 

PLAINS – Phyllis A. Krause, 92, died Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Fowler Residential Care Center in Fowler.

She was born March 28, 1933 to Oscar and Luella (Hummel) Latzke.

She married Merle G. Krause in 1956. He preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2020

Joseph S. "Joe" Harvey, 63, died Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born May 8, 1962 to Wilbur and June (Keller) Harvey.

He married Carole Clemons. She preceded him in death Jan. 1, 2000.
